The Denver Broncos hit the road to battle the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football.
The pregame narrative: Denver can get one step closer to locking up the AFC West with a win. Washington is having a disappointing year, but its offence is getting healthier. Expect a healthy helping of points in a primetime, cross-conference showdown.

Broncos vs. Commanders predictions
SGP: Broncos -5.5 | Over 36.5 points | Bryant over 23.5 receiving yards (+340)
Broncos -5.5 (-112): Denver doesn't typically blow out its opponent.
In fact, the Broncos have failed to win by six-plus points in eight of their 11 games despite boasting a strong, 9-2 record.
There is one big reason why I expect a different result on Sunday Night Football.

Washington can't stop the pass.
The Commanders are 29th in passing yards allowed per game (249.5) and 32nd in opponent yards per pass attempt (8.4).
They're the only team in the NFL ceding more than eight yards per throw.
Naturally, the Commanders are getting routed pretty frequently. They've lost by six-plus points in four of their last five games.
Sunday Night Football SGP picks
Over 36.5 points (-265): This is a pretty low bar for these two teams to clear.
Washington's horrendous pass defence isn't getting any better. Starting cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and Trey Amos are out, leaving the Commanders very thin at the position.
Denver's receivers should be able to dominate some advantageous matchups.

Conversely, Washington's offence should look better in this contest. The unit is getting back wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who has only played four games due to a quadriceps injury.
McLaurin's return is a significant boost and should help Washington score enough to get this over the number.
Bryant over 23.5 receiving yards (-114): Lastly, I'm betting on Bryant staying hot.
Bo Nix has called upon the wide receiver more in recent games, and Bryant is delivering:
- Week 8: Four targets, two receptions, 40 yards, one TD
- Week 9: Three targets, two receptions, 20 yards
- Week 10: Two targets, one reception, 43 yards
- Week 11: Six targets, five receptions, 83 yards
Bryant has cleared this total in three of his last four games, averaging 46.5 yards per game during this stretch.
As mentioned above, this is a golden matchup for Denver's pass-catchers. The Commanders are allowing the second-most receiving yards per game to opposing wide receivers (170.3).
